About the Event
The Sandhill Loop is a delightful 3.0-mile trail that offers an easy, family-friendly hiking experience. With partly shaded paths and stunning views of Dixie Lake, this loop is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages. On average, it takes about 55 minutes to complete the loop, allowing ample time to soak in the natural beauty of the Florida Hammock.
Please note that Lake Louisa State Park charges an entry fee per vehicle or per visitor entering on foot or bicycle. Alternatively, individuals and families can opt for the Florida State Parks Annual Pass for convenient access.
As we traverse the Sandhill Loop, you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the diverse flora and fauna that call this area home. Keep an eye out for native wildlife and take advantage of the picnic tables at the trailhead for a relaxing break with views of the serene lake.
